Gleanings from II Kings 4:1-7
Gleanings from II Kings 4:1-7.

Being a widow of the outward law and married to Christ (Rom. 7:1-4), and having put off the old man with his deeds and put on the new, we have “but a pot of oil in the house” (Heb. 3:6. I Cor. 3:16). “But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.

…Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.” - (II Cor. 4:7-10).

The Lord desires to bring us to the place where we not only recognise our utter dependence on the Anointing, but believe and trust in the supply of the Spirit of Jesus, in all things, presently, and ongoingly. He will pour out of His fulness into our “house” and into the houses of others. And will “Set aside that which is full”.

He will “do it”. (I Thess. 5:24)
