”Jude, the servant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James, to them that are sanctified by God the Father, and preserved in Jesus Christ, and called” Jude 1:1
“Sanctified by God the Father…”
“They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world. And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth.” John 17:15-19.
What does it mean to be sanctified? “Sanctify” (ἁγιάζω hagiazō) means to make holy, and comes from ἅγιος hagios; sacred, pure, blameless, most holy. ἅγιος is also the word translated saint, therefore a “saint” is someone who is sanctified. The word donates something or someone who is uniquely “set aside” for a specific purpose, as the golden vessels were in the sanctuary under the Old Covenant. They were made and set aside for the ministry of the sanctuary (Hebrews 9:1-2).
Jesus prayed that His disciples would be “set aside” for God’s purpose in this world, into which they would soon be sent. And Jesus “set aside” Himself for that same purpose.
How was that accomplished? “Through sanctification of the Spirit” (II Thessalonians 2:13, I Peter 1:2), that is to say, through the Spirit of God making them holy, setting them aside uniquely for the purpose of God. For Jesus’ disciples that occurred on the Day of Pentecost, when they were baptised with the Holy Spirit. And what was true for them is true for all God’s chosen vessels - they are sanctified by baptism with the Holy Spirit. That is why Jesus sanctified Himself.
“…you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth." (Acts 1:8).

“That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: and hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church, which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.” Ephesians 1: 17-23.
Jesus said that all authority in heaven and in earth is given to Him. When we believe that we can pray according to that reality. Of course the god of this world would have us believe otherwise, and those who believe him, like Eve, believe a lie.
Do we really believe that Jesus Christ has the authority He claimed? If we do, we will know that authority over our own lives, in our homes, and in our congregations. We will see our petitions answered, the work of God increase among us and His power demonstrated in our midst. People will know and acknowledge “of a truth” that “God is in your midst” (I Corinthians 14:25).
Are we proving God to be true? If not, there is only one reason for it - unbelief. The work of God is that we believe in Jesus Christ (John 6:29), when we are doing so we will see and know the authority and power of God demonstrated.

“These things are not just doctrines, they are not just theories; they must be actual experiences of the individual heart, and when you have actually submitted to the sovereignty of Christ, actually repented of your sin (and the two are somewhat similar and synonymous), when you have savingly believed on Jesus Christ, then you are born of the Spirit. And the way you find out you are a Christian, is not by inferring that you are a Christian because of what you have done. But by experiencing the power of Christ, and the Life of Christ imparted to you by a supernatural work of God called regeneration, or the New Birth.

Acts 3 and 4 (AV/NKJV) and note the power and authority of the NAME of JESUS, and how Satan attempted to prevent it being preached or spoken of.
God will move amongst those who through faith in His NAME pray in the NAME of Jesus. We have known the mighty authority of His NAME in our meetings and in our midst over the last two weeks, and expect to see God move continually as we continue to pray in faith and the Holy Spirit.
I encourage all who know the Lord to fast and pray, and get hold of God, and to pray in the NAME of Jesus, expecting God to move and to pour out of His Spirit - as in Acts 4:23-31. They called on God - “Lord, You are God… Now, Lord, look on their threats, and grant to Your servants that with all boldness they may speak Your word, by stretching out Your hand to heal, and that signs and wonders may be done through the name of Your holy Servant Jesus."
And when they had prayed, the place where they were assembled together was shaken; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness.

“…the foundation of God stands sure, having this seal, The Lord knows those who are His“. II Tim. 2:19.
“…other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ”. I Cor. 3:11.
“Therefore thus says the Lord GOD: "Behold, I lay in Zion a stone for a foundation, A tried stone, a precious cornerstone, a sure foundation”. Isa. 28:16.
The foundation of the Church* is the Lord Jesus Christ, He is the foundation upon which we build. The hymn writer wrote…
The Church’s one foundation
is Jesus Christ, our Lord
Jesus Christ is the Rock of Ages upon which the City of God (the Church) is built.
Glorious things of thee are spoken,
Zion, city of our God;
He whose word cannot be broken
formed thee for His own abode;
on the Rock of Ages founded,
what can shake thy sure repose?
With salvation's walls surrounded,
thou may'st smile at all thy foes.
“Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God…
Jesus answered and said unto him…and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.” Matt. 16:16&18.
We stand upon the divine revelation that Christ is the Rock and that He builds His Church. Of which He is both the foundation and the cornerstone.
“…you are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God; and are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone; in whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord: in whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.” Eph. 2:19-22.
That which is not built upon the foundation that is Jesus Christ will fail and fall.
On Christ the solid Rock I stand,
All other ground is sinking sand.
See: Luke 6:48-49, 14:28.
*Assembly The word “church” is of Saxon origin and means Lord’s house (Kirche. Hence the term “house of God”), it does not mean a gathering or assembly, which is the meaning of the Greek word ekklesia (ἐκκλησία), French Église, Welsh Eglwys. The Scottish word for church Kirk, is derived from Kirche.

“And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM (אהיה אשׁר אהיה): and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you”. Exodus 3:14.
They were captive slaves in Egypt. I AM delivered them with an outstretched arm.
The significance of I AM.
Two small words upon which everything is stayed and sustained.
Two small words in which dwells life eternal and all authority.
I AM. The everlasting One, the Creator of all that is created and made.
His disciples despaired when the storm seemed as if it would swallow them. I AM stilled the storm and delivered them. “Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid.” (Matt.14. John 6)
“…he dwells with you, and shall be in you.
I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also. At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.” John 14:17-20.
“I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending”.
“I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last”.
“I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last”.

The blood of Jesus Christ is able to cleanse us from all unrighteous and sin, that we become to Him as virgins, to Him who “loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood”.
