The Spirit of wisdom and revelation

The Spirit of wisdom and revelation.

“Wherefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love unto all the saints, Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers; That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church, Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.” Ephesians 1:15-23

“…give unto you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the [full] knowledge of him…”
The Apostle Paul’s great longing and desire for the believers in Ephesus was for God to give them “the Spirit of wisdom and revelation”, in which alone is “the full knowledge“ of Jesus Christ. “I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; (Even) the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.” John 14:16-17

None but the Spirit can reveal Jesus Christ unto us - whom He reveals in us, in our spirit. “…the things of God knows no one, but the Spirit of God.” I Cor. 2:11 Read as we will the Book of God, and be we fully versed in it, in it’s Hebrew and Greek, in it’s grammar - it’s tenses, prepositions, it’s verbs, it’s nouns, and all syntax; if God has not given us His Spirit, the Book of itself can reveal nothing. “Flesh and blood has not revealed this unto you…”

We speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom.
“We speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory: Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searches all things, yea, the deep things of God. For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teaches, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man receives not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. But he that is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is judged of no man. For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ. I Corinthians 2:7-16
